Geocache Description:

The small city of Sonoma sits at the end of the old El Camino Real, the Royal Road that linked Spanish Alta California to Baja California and Mexico. It is a wonderful place, full of history and interesting things to see and do.

The Bear Flag Rebellion began here, the last mission founded in California - Mission San Francisco Solano - is here. It is also home to a very old cemetery, the Mountain Cemetery, founded in 1841. The cemetery is a quirky place, with twisty roads, numerous crypts of fanciful construction and some overgrown graves. It is located on a hillside overlooking old downtown Sonoma, and is open to vehicle traffic from 8 to 5, and pedestrians until dark.

Buried here are several notable California pioneers, as well as many whom history has passed by.

To claim this virtual cache you'll need to find two spots in the cemetery and note who's memorialized there.

Here are the requirements:

1) Locate a large grave marker located near N38 18.0282 W122 27.31908.
Question: Who's buried here?

2) Locate two plaques near N38 18.00876 W122 27.31992.
Question: Who is memorialized here.

Question: Who dedicated the plaques?
Question: What's unique about this person?

Bonus points if you spot any other person of historical importance.

Mountain Cemetery is also the final resting place of Mary "Pizza" Fazio, founder of a regional chain of restaurants, Mary's Pizza Shack. If you come across one in your travels, by all means check it out.
