Geocache Description:

Located in Poor Farm Park, just west of Ashland, VA, known to locals as the "Center of the Universe".

Poor Farm Park is located just off Hwy 54, west of Ashland, VA which is easily accessible from Interstate 95. It's a popular destination for mountain bikers in the area. The cache is located on a series of trails that wind around the exterior of the park. For more information on the park itself, go to

Park at or near N 37 46.776' W 077 32.394 and enter the trail system at any of several trailheads in the wooded area near the parking lot. If you take a course that leads you down near the creek in wet weather, you'll want to wear shoes you don't mind getting muddy. The distance is about .7 to the cache from the nearest parking area.

Although accessed via mountain bike trails, a bike is not required to get to the cache. However, be mindful of the many bikers you may encounter, particularly on weekends. They may be surprised to round a corner and find a walker/hiker.

The cache is a regular size green ammo box. The original contents are as follows:
