They call Northeast Oklahoma "Green Country". This cache will take you on a little trip through the woods hoping to remind you to keep it "green".
This area will prove to become quite green and overgrown as spring approaches although it was mostly white outside when it was placed. If you look close you can pick up one of many animal trails to make your trek a little easier. There are plenty of birds in this area, and by the tracks in the snow, plenty of mammals as well. You may even catch a group of ducks swimming along a nearby creek.
There are two places to park nearby and you will notice a now mostly unused equestrian facility that was once used by the Tulsa Police. You may enter the area past the white gate on foot, but please don't block the gate to the area. You will also see a "hog-wire" fence line but stay on the park side of that fence please!
Inside a green ammo can you will find many green or green related items. Even some of the green that everyone loves. Inside you will find a few bags to carry out any trash you may find, even if the trash is green. I encourage you to bring something green to trade in return.
As April approaches and things become green, I also encourage you to participate in an Earth Day event. Look for a TAG earth day event coming soon.
Please Note: It is not required and NOT advised to take a short cut to the cache. There is an easy way to get to it that doesn't require you to do a balancing act.
