Geocache Description:

Lovely area. Choose to visit it to see the colourful leaves in autumn or the new growth in Spring.

Note:

 Co-ordinates updated 20 July 2003 to correct my 16's and 15's. Thanks to quite a few of you reporting my error..:-)
The cache lies in the central open common land I think belongs to Hook.

Definitely take boots in winter as the suggested route can be very wet and boggy. The forest is quite unspoilt and relatively litter free. Watch for deer and rabbits. Great area for taking photos of the changing seasons.

The cache is quite small in a well sealed Tupperware type box

I would suggest the following route:
Park your car: N51:16.273' W0:58.885'
Walk down signed footpath towards: N51:16.393 W0:58.771
Now turn SE and walk down a very old and in winter, very muddy track with loads of fallen trees towards: N51:16.240 W0:58.605
Then turn NE and follow track to cache coordinates.
