Der Cache liegt dicht bei dem Denkmal für Theodor Körner.

The cache is situated near the memorial for Theodor Koerner.

In den Befreiungskriegen 1813-1814 kämpfte Preußen gegen die Fremdherrschaft Napoleons. Viele Studenten traten damals in die Freikorps ein, so auch der junge Dramatiker Theodor Körner als Leutnant in der Freischar des Majors von Lützow. Am 26. August 1813 ist er während eines Gefechtes mit Napoleonischen Truppen im Alter von nur 22 Jahren gefallen. Heute erinnert in dem Waldstück östlich von Gadebusch eine Gedenkstätte an ihn, in deren Mittelpunkt ein Obelisk mit seinem Bildnis steht, der Cache befindet sich ganz in der Nähe.

In the war of liberation in the years of 1813 and 1814 the german state of Prussia fought against the foreign rule of Napoleon. Many students joined the troops as volunteers, amongst them a young poet named Theodor Koerner. He served as a lieutenant in the volunteer corps under major Luetzow. He died on August the 26th 1813 in a battle with french troops. Today he is remembered by a memorial in a forest east of the little village of Gadebusch. In the center of this memorial stands an obelisk with his portrait.
