Geocache Description:

THIS IS ONE OF LOUISVILLE'S OLDEST CACHES.

It was the FIRST cache in Jefferson Memorial Forest which currently offers over 300 caches.

If you want to know just how early that is, consider this...Jeremy...yes, THE Jeremy, approved it for me!

Small thermos well hidden near a footbridge.

From downtown Louisville, exit from I-65 South onto I-265 West (Snyder Freeway). Exit at New Cut Road and turn left at the bottom of the ramp. After 1.6 miles, turn right onto Mitchell Hill Road and follow signs to Jefferson Memorial Forest and Tom Wallace Lake. Park near the lake. The beginning of the trail is paved and clearly marked. General area is heavily forested, hilly, and has mostly dirt trails.
