NOTE: The Get-A-Clue Game Ends August 3, 2003!
This cache will be archived sometime after August 3, 2003. Get it while you can!
Was it Miss Scarlet in the ballroom with the candlestick? Or was it Professor Plum in the study with the lead pipe?
Patterned after the famous Clue board game from Parker Brothers that you played as a child (or big kid), this version has a geocaching twist.
All of your favorite characters are here: Miss Scarlet, Col. Mustard, Mrs. White, Prof. Plum, Mrs. Peacock and Mr. Green. They were all on the premises on the night of the murder and each is a suspect.
Like the board game, you will have to use your investigative skills and deductive powers to discover who committed the murder, what weapon they used and where the crime occurred.
This geocaching game by the Jose Gaspar Crew involves finding clues distributed in five separate geocache sites. Each site contains information that will remove one suspect, one weapon and one room from your list of possibilities. By process of elimination, (with some additional detective work on your part), you will be able to zero-in on the correct answer. When you are ready, you can make your accusation online. If you are correct, you will be given the coordinates to this, the sixth and final “Get A Clue” geocache site. (The coordinates at the top of this page do not point to the location of this cache).
In addition to the normal treasure chest, the final “Get A Clue” cache includes special prizes for the first 10 registered geocaching teams. The prizes include official Geocache gear.
The five caches containing clues are:
- For Whom The Bell Tolls
- The Pirate's Picnic
- The Creeper
- CSI-Tampa
- The Pharaoh’s Curse
Each of these five caches are standalone caches in their own right. You don’t have to play the “Get A Clue” game to try to find them. The "For Whom The Bell Tolls" cache has already been placed and the others will be placed over the next few months.
