Geocache Description:

This cache is designed with man's best friend in mind. However, if your best friend is of the two-legged kind, don't worry. The theme of the cache is things to do and share with your best friend. There are lots of dog toys and treats in the cache as well as things for humans. The idea is to spend some quality time with your best friend (canine or human) and take a nice walk in Queeny Park. Bring along a picnic lunch--I think we even put a tablecloth in the cache! To make sure that Fido gets a good long walk, this is a multi-cache. You will need to fill in some of the numbers for the coordinates of the final cache by finding some special trees in the park. The trees are all very old and large and are marked with signs giving their ages, diameters, etc. Enter the park on the Mason Rd. side and start at the front door of the Dog Museum. Note: You don't have to find the clues in alphabetical order. The cache is at: N38 36.A8 W90 29.BC A is a two digit number which is the same as the diameter of the tree found at: N38 36.898 W90 29.631 B is a single digit number equal to the number of centuries that the American Elm has been alive. This tree can be found within 100 feet of the starting point. (It is also equal to the number of "miniature" poodles found at the starting point. C is a two digit number equal to the diameter of the tree found at: N38 37.535 W90 29.745 WAIT!! Once you have filled in the coordinates for the cache you can save yourselves lots of time and bushwacking by taking the trail which begins at: N38 36.394 W90 29.184 Good Luck!

Warning

NOTICE: Please be respectful of the posted park hours. If you enter the park after hours you are trespassing. If you are stopped you can be ticketed or arrested and will put the future of geocaching in the parks in jeopardy.
Special permission to hide caches in St. Louis County parks is NOT needed as long as the Groundspeak rules are followed. "Blanket Permission" has been worked out in advance with the park service. DO NOT CALL THE PARK as they cannot handle the calls. The Groundspeak cache reviewer does need to know exactly how and where the caches are hidden and what type of containers are used. The geocaching liaisons will notify the park service of new caches. Remember NO AMMO BOXES or PVC PIPE caches.
