Located near Lock and Dam 21 south of Quincy, IL
Okay, this one was created for a couple of intrepid geocachers visiting from St. Louis, but anyone can log this cache. There is also a special prize for a local cacher, so better be quick about it! This is an easy cache in a regular Tupperware type container. Park at N39*54.017 and W091*25.904. If you get there while the winter weather is still here, you may see 10-15 eagles perched in the trees along the river. After logging the cache, you may enjoy visiting the Lock & Dam (if you are the engineering type). The cache originally started out with a watch, multi-tool /flashlite, $1,000,000, GPS food (the AA variety), a coral snake pen (for avid herpers only), some old marbles, and a sunglass strap. This area may become inaccessable during floods.
