Geocache Description:

No special equipment required, boots etc, an easy walk on a narrow, but relativley level trail through woods. only midge repellent required at certain times of year!!!.

This cache has been refurbished, in a new container and in drier area, only .23 mls from the original site.
A point of interest nearby is the Rennie Mackintosh 'Hill House'(thanks, Firth of Forth!) and also that Helensburgh's famous sons included J Logie Baird, inventor of television, and James Watt, inventor of the 'Comet', the first steamship
This cache is not far from a local walking area at the hill behind Helensburgh, and affords good views over the Clyde Estuary. With two good parking areas close to the trail and leading through woods, the cache can be accessed from either of these, depending on how far you wish to walk, and is close to a trail. It can be busy with dog walkers at times, so be aware of sudden unseen encounters!.
Happy Hunting!
