Estero Back Bay Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

mechanic_mike: Archived this cache due to loss of interest. Not on my part but on the part of geocachers who no longer venture more than 50 ft from their parked cars. The world is filling up with lazy bastards.

Geocache Description:

Estero Bay Aquatic Buffer Zone

This cache is a camo canister. You might want to bring water and bug spray for this one. It is just over a mile hike (one way) over a sandy and potentially muddy trail. It is one of the last reamining untouched wilderness areas of Lee County, that is after you get through the thick stand of dead melaleuca trees (paper trees) at the start of the trail. The cache hunter will be rewarded with an observation deck and benches next to a pond with large open vistas of undeveloped / untouched land. Bringing a lunch for a picnic would make a perfect afternoon.
