Geocache Description:

Situated in the picturesque Hoch-Ybrig region, a 5km walk over an altitude difference of 550m

This cache is located 2/3 of the way along a lovely stroll up to an excellent mountain restaurant, the Druesberghütte. If you have time, visit the Druesberghütte and have a beer or two!

The cache itself (CH-1903: 704962 208612) is a 1.5l sealed box with plently of space for Travel Bugs.

Park at the head of the valley at the cable car station at N47° 01.202' E008° 48.535' (CH-1903: 704175 208575). The Druesberghütte is at N47° 01.236' E008° 49.566' (CH-1903: 705480 208660). Use Swiss National Map 1152 Ibergeregg.

Enjoy the walk, the stunning views and you'll have earned yourself a beer...and why not hire a "Snow-Gämel" for a cracking ride back down the mountain.

NOTE: The Druesberghütte opens for the winter season at the start of each December. It closes around the end of March until early June when it re-opens for the summer and remains open until the end of October. Make sure you check out their dates for Vollmond Fondue evenings...
