you! I salute the four brave people who attempted the game: bobcatw98,

Lil Otter, and finally Current
Resident. It seemed to be more of a challenge than some others wanted to
attempt. I must admit that it was intended to be a more difficult
series. But now the time has come to alter this so more players may enjoy
this park where the original cache was placed. The name has
been changed to reflect the new game.
Parking is available at
N44 53.736, W91 53.419.
The park is a
wonderful plot of land along the east side of Lake Menomin which is formed by a
dam along the Red Cedar River. This park is quite deceiving as it is
approached from the parking area. It would appear to be quite small and of
no real interest. In reality, as you begin to venture out along the
several trails from the above listed parking location, you will find a wonderful
access to one of the best ice fishing areas on the lake (in season only, of
course). Further along is
a small woods teaming with wildlife year around. This is the woods where you will find
this cache. I have kicked up several deer every time I visited the
area,. If you venture further north along the trails you come out to a
prairie area that is completely natural (with the small exception of a only
slightly groomed trail). Wow! A LOT of deer here.
In fact, this
park reaches for an entire mile to the north, all the way to the I-94 interstate
highway. It is lake front property the entire distance!
Formerly the Unthemed
Theme Cache, this cache container has been placed in this location to
replace the original cache (which may pop up in a new location and a new
format). A note of caution for those unfamiliar with this
cache: There is HEAVY overhead tree canopy here. This may be much
more difficult during certain seasons of the year.
