Scrubby Beech Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

z-gang: After the reports of dead fish I decided this cache needed to be examined. Based upon what I found I decided to permanently archive the cache. The cache was not even opened to inspect and/or remove the contents. The entire container, and hiding spot, had a foul odor of...rotten fish. I decided it was best to leave it alone so the container and contents were discarded. I really hated doing such a thing, but I thought it best considering what I might have found inside. Additionally, I will not be replacing a cache in this location as it has become a litter haven and public outhouse. Pirouetting around trash and scat is not my idea of a pleasant geocache outing.
Thanks for all the nice comments regarding this cache and the reports that all was not well.

Geocache Description:

The second Z-gang cache in Plymouth's Morton Park. The park charges admission from Memorial to Labor day. The roads are rough.

The oldest of the Z-gang cache kids picked this spot. Cache is located a short distance off a dirt road along the shore of Little Pond. The hiding spot is near a group of scrubby beech trees (thus the cache name). The "beach" also looks pretty scrubby in this area. The actual hiding spot isn't all too original...if you're a critter.

Watch out for the briars!
