Geocache Description:

In the Carquinez Strait Regional Shoreline park. The first part of the trail is pretty steep but after the initial ascent most of the remainder of the hike is fairly easy.

This cache is in a medium-size ammo can with "geocaching.com" written on the side. The original contents of this cache were:

  • Keleidoscope
  • Apple Shaped Pencil Sharpener
  • Purple Bungee Cord
  • Pink Stuffed Bunny
  • Rubber Dinosaur
  • Green Carabeaner
  • Extra Batteries
  • Whistle
  • Disposible camera

Please take a picture of yourself with the disposible camera and note which picture number you took in the written log and your log on the site.

This cache is a bit hard to get to. For a slightly less difficult but more scenic route I reccomend starting from the Carquinez Strait East Staging Area near Rankin Park. if you want the shorter but much more difficult (like 3.5/5) route try starting from the end of Carquinez Scenic Drive.

When you find the cache you'll be treated to an amazing view. I've often eaten lunch at this spot because it's so nice so you might want to pack a picnic to take with you :)
