CWB Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Good Dog: I just got back to Ohio from a visit to the great Northwest. I really love the Seattle area and all the caches. CWB and the area around have changed a lot in the last few years and I no longer feel that I should keep this cache. Others have been maintaining it for me, but I think it's time to let it go and for a local to take it over. Thanks to everyone who has helped me and everyone who has hunted the cache.

Geocache Description:

Cache established 2003 The posted coordinates are for the parking area and entrance to CWB. The cache has been reworked in Oct. 2008 and is now a simpler one stage multi. Spend less time doing math, and more walking around the exhibits

This cache is located at The Center for Wooden Boats. The only walking difficulties would be slippery ramps and floating docks, so be careful when it’s wet. DON'T HUNT THIS CACHE AT NIGHT. The hours are 8am to 5pm. The museum and rest rooms are closed on Tue. but the docks are open. The Center for Wooden Boats is a unique place on the shores of Lake Union. Their mission is to "provide a community center where maritime history comes alive and small craft heritage is preserved." The center is a floating museum of small wooden boats, a place to learn maritime heritage skills, get involved in building and restoring boats, and even learn to sail. More information can be found at http://www.cwb.org -------------------------------------------------------------Find the large sailing boat “Pirate”. The year the “Pirate” was built is posted on a sign on the docks, and can also be found inside the museum........... GoTo: N. 47-37.(651) W.122-20.(156) ...... Take some time to explore.
