The cache is hidden in the Abbott Marshlands, Bordentown Bluffs. This is part of the Joseph Bonaparte estate (brother of Napoleon) and it comes under the NJ park system. The history is fascinating (visit link) . I (themagician) lived less than a mile from this area for many years and never knew it was a state park.
Parking is now permitted on Stanton Road where there is free parking, a Trenton Marsh Park information sign and two nice trails to choose from. Parking is no longer available on Orchard road at N40 10.104 W74 42.066 .
Be sure to walk along the bluffs to see the view of Crosswick’s Creek and the marsh.
