Between the Shivwits Reservation and Beaver Dam you’ll see a Woodbury Study Area sign.
Take the gravel road (in good condition and on BLM land) east 3.06 miles. Park and hike .46 mile past fascinating formations. Enjoy the desert flora along the way. You’ll eye a “water for quail” project that consists of extruded sheeting enclosed by a fence for the purpose of collecting water in a man made pond. Along the trail a visible plaque has been placed honoring the Joshua forest in this area. Zigzag your way up the hillside to a hideaway and you are there. At 3616 ft. altitude enjoy the beauty of the desert, don’t litter and have a great caching experience.
The cache consists of a one gallon container. Be sure and sign in. Ranger Dale visited this site in July 03 and states "Boy, howdy" to the shock of finding a rattlesnake using this cache site. So be cautious or wait until later to visit this cache when it cools down a bit.
