1.27 miles up So.Cedar Ridge canyon along the horse trail, look under a rock overhang.
Park at the picnic area at So. Cedar Ridge. Walk up the canyon along the trail. The horse trail crosses the creek several times, use extreme caution if it is running high because of spring runoff. Most of the year there is only a little water flowing. When you are 1.27 miles from the picnic area, you will enter a tight narrow canyon. Rock walls in almost every direction, you will see a rock over hang to your left about 30 feet above you in the sand. Look in the left hand side of it for a metal ammo can. In it you will find a key chain,a bandana,an elk card holder, a tool pouch, to name a few. Please sign the note pad and enjoy the scenery, I promise you will be in awe of the surroundings. Take plenty of water and a snack, the round trip will be about 2 hours
