A Taste Of Reno Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

geocrasher: This cache is gone, I search and searched and have seen a few people can not find it. We feel this is a fantastic spot for someone to do more then hide the cache in the rocks, if someone was clever enough. We are archiving it so someone can put a cache at this fantastic view!!!

Geocache Description:

This cache which not only gives you a great view of the city, but gives you a "taste of reno." Terrain may be difficult for small children and there are broken bottles eveywhere. cache difficulty can be a 3.5 at night.

Hi! Rykoala Team is now the new owner of this cache. The cache is now in a 50mm ammo can. It is hidden in the rocks. It shouldnt be to hard to find. Please replace as found. We hope the new container will help this cache remain in good condition and water proof.

Like the previous owner had, the cache is still a Recipe exchange. Please take 1 recipe and leave 1 recipe. If you see others you would like just email I will send them to you. That way the cache always has recipes for everyone to enjoy.

PLEASE add recipes that are typed or hand written. recipes printed from online are fine too. Would be great to see recipes that have been tried and you love so much you just have to share them. If possible please use any size index card for your recipes. This cache is not for trade items, just recipes and log signing.TB's are fine to leave.

The cache is starting with 11 recipes on 4x6 index cards( 1 donated by J&kids),log book, a “you found it sheet” and a little sheet about Nevada recipes.

Since this Cache is named Taste of Reno. We thought not only would we start with recipes used and submitted by residents. We would also include a little history. There are many different foods and cultures in our area a few named in articles are the following ethnic groups: Basque, Cowboy, Native American, Miners, African-American, Chinese, Greek, Italian and Mexican.

Included in the recipes of this cache are one recipe for each of these groups: Basque, Cowboy, Native American and Miners. These recipes have in the right hand corner what category they fall under!

Once you have your recipe stop and see the view its breathtaking!
