The Peachoid Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Heavy Duty: [:)]Thanks to all the visitors and geocachers who searched this cache out. After 9 years on the playing field and nearly 400 visits it has come time to retire this cache.

Due to some recent activity from people who cannot leave a game piece alone and allow others to enjoy the game, and want to spoil something because it makes them feel Big and Powerful. Really, I try to understand that if I trash and scatter a game piece like a plastic container with $5 dollars worth of trinkets, which is very intimidating I have shown everyone what kind of person I really am.

Well count this day as a victory, you have won and I admit defeat and surrender to your ill mannered behavior. [;)] However my coffee is still hot, my doughnut is fresh, and a pristine newspaper sits here before me waiting to be read and you can't spoil that. For the record, I have gone to the site and cleaned up the mess you left, recovered the original cache container which was tossed in a briar patch approx 45" from the hiding site, and recovered a TB which I will send on its way soon.

Have a nice day ... God is good ... all the time!

Geocache Description:

This is a short walk, fairly easy for someone with a big step. You may encounter a few briars/weeds along the way depending on the season. If you have on long pants and shoes you will not have any problems. Print this page and take with you, it will be helpfull.

When you travel up and down the Interstates of the Carolina's there is one site that gets everyone's attention quick, old and young alike. This cache is in honor of Gaffney, South Carolina's trademark.

The above GPSr cords will take you to a parking lot, which will serve you well, inside and out. The pavement around the cache area is for walking only, no vehicles allowed under any circumstances.

Due to the location this required a multi-stage cache. I picked out a great spot for the cache, however the GPSr would get different readings and the accuracy was not stable enough to make a fair game. The large metal object in question can cause some interference and may confuse your GPSr with bad information. Due to this problem I choose a different technique and put a little challenge into it, let me know if this works well or post any comments about the cache please.

As you walk around the track you will find a waist high sign. As you read the dedication you will need to remember two pieces of information to find the actual cache. In honor of Mr. Millwood, how many years did he serve __ __ Ω Ω; and the year of this dedication __ __ __ __ ¶ æ £ Φ.

The actual cache is nearby at N 35º 05.7 __Ω__Ω; W 081º 41.__¶__£__Φ, look around for a one-gallon plastic jug with an Official Geocache Gamepeice Sticker. Please sign the log, take a picture, and trade trinkets all you want. This is full of fun items and plenty of room for travel bugs. Hope you have fun with this one and look for others nearby, I hope to see new ones placed soon.

This cache is placed with permission; I contacted "The Board of Public Works" in person and obtained permission. Be mindful that the area is under camera surveillance, and no vandalism to the area can be tolerated. This is a nice park well maintained lets help keep it that way. Again, as noted on the sign no vehicles allowed on the pavement around the "The Peachoid" please.
