This cache is in a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Wildlife Management Area. If you continue northward on the road you'll find yourself at the Perch River Flats. This is a beautiful bird sanctuary and during migratory season becomes a great place for the bird watchers out there.
NOTE: I placed this cache early enough that the snow covered the trash in the area. If you are so inclined, bring a trash bag and help the area out a little.
