In order to log this cache you will first have to locate the key! The Key is attached to the Travel Bug “The Key to George’s Treasure” which is to remain inside the Boundaries of George Pierce Park, and the Martin Trice Trail area. Once you have logged the cache Please place the cover on the lock, rehide the cache, and place the Key / Travel Bug in another cache inside the park. Please do not Lock the Key to the cache in the cache or remove the key from the park!

Click HERE to see which cache the Key is currently in.

The cache itself is located about 80 feet from the main trail which has several access points throughout the park. There is also a smaller path nearby. Cache was well hidden when placed, please hide the cache back in its hiding place as best as possible! Best place to park might be in the parking lot located at 03.391 03.231 then look along the south western edge of the parking lot for a little foot path leading to the main trail. Once on the trail go southeast and take the fork to the left. The cache will be off to the left about 4/10ths of a mile down the trail.

The caches inside the Park in which the Key can be Found / Left in are… (Click the cache names to visit the cache pages)

After finding the cache please log that you picked up the Travel Bug as well as the drop off on the Travel Bug’s page so that the next finder may find the bug!

****Note added 4-7-07 *****

Please do not forget to log the key in and out of the caches you find it and leave it in! The original travel bug dog tag and cache key was stolen, the bug number is now printed on the laminated card attached to the key! If you do not log the bug into its new cache the next finder will not know where to find the Key!
