This cache is hidden in the Yakima Delta Wildlife Preserve which is part of the Tapteal Greenway near the confluence of the Yakima and Columbia rivers.
This area is home to many different forms of wildlife including deer, turkeys, coyotes, pheasants, quail, owls, as well as a variety of songbirds and raptors. Unfortunately, it also is a favorite spot for the local fishermen to fish on the banks of the Yakima and Columbia Rivers and they have left large amounts of garbage and trash. Please haul trash out as you leave. (You will have to provide your own trash bags since this is a multi-cache and all but the final cache are mini-sized.)
The cache container is a little on the small size with a fairly narrow opening.
You DO NOT have to park on the side of the highway, do anything dangerous, or do any bushwhacking to get to this cache. Each stage is on a trail that can be walked or biked with safe parking at the point that you enter the trail.
Oh! About the name… you’ll get it when you find it.
