Wock & Stroll - A Musical Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Luc & Sweety: Can't believe someone stole the container. That was my favorite ammo can too. I don't have another one to replace it with so archiving this one. Will consider putting out a similar themed cache somewhere else in the future. Thanks to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

In an effort to show the world some of the unique spots in Clarington, here is another gem! Easy to get to, beautiful walk, and you can pick up a couple geocaches in the area.

This cache has a distinct theme – it is a musical cache! All items exchanged must be either a record, tape, 8-track, or CD (the older, the better!) We wanted some of the titles to take you back down memory lane. It was hard to part with many of these beauties, but sometimes you just gotta let go! Check out some of the classics that will start this cache off:

WHAM!; Aerosmith; Rolling Stones; Duran Duran; Culture Club; Simply Red; Gloria Estefan; Whitney; Cocktail; Starship; Genesis; Sting; Loverboy; Pretty Woman; The Cutting Crew; A-ha; Bryan Adams; Honeymoon Suite; Falco; Tom Jones; Mr. Mister; REM; Smashing Pumpkins; Bon Jovi; Blues Traveler; and The Watchmen.

Even though 8-track players and turntables are hard to find in many households, bring out some classics and let others reminisce about the old days. As well, some modern day groups on CD will attract a lot of attention.

There are 2 starting points to choose from. If you want a quiet, beautiful trail that winds alongside a babbling brook – park at N 43º 58.020 & W 078º 37.714. If you want a straight, easy, but more popular trail, park at N 43º 58.504 W 078º 37.642. Distance to cache is the same, but if you are scared of a little mud, take the popular trail.

We placed the cache in a nice spot to "finger through" these classics, but it is under some heavy White Cedar coverage, and reception might be bad for the last 20 metres. The clue should help you get to the exact spot if you are having trouble. Enjoy the hike!

Update Sept 27th/06

The container has been updated to a extra large camo'd ammo can. It is not hinged, instead the entire lid comes off. Please take care to make sure the lid is on properly before latching it down. Also make sure the cache remains standing up. Thank you.
