N6VHF: I haven't had time to replace the cache and apparently this is creating major problems for Geocaching.com as they have asked me to archive the cache. I liked Geocaching much better when it had less rules and less babysitting. Not sure what it hurts to have the cache sit idle for a while but whatever. With the new rules they have added since I started doing this 14 years ago, I don't think I want to hide anymore. I don't have time to read 75 pages of rules, contact some land owner in Canada and then have everything I do, inspected by someone before it can even be listed. Probably one of the most stupid of the rules is, "If you are hiding the geocache just so people can find the geocache, hide it somewhere else." Why does there have to be a reason to find it other than someone wanting to find it and enjoy the challenge and exercise?
So the very first cache in Cloverdale, put up 14 years ago will be forever a memory. Thanks to all of those who have taken the time to find it. I am glad that you all had the opportunity to enjoy it while it lasted.
