Geocache Description:

This is one in a series of caches at locations I grew up around. Here you will find Douglas Falls Park, a Washington Dept. of Natural Resources camping, picnicing and recreation area. The cache is located along a loop hiking trail.

**UPDATE 10/20/2003** I have upgraded the container to a plastic Kirkland cashew jar, and moved the cache to a new location. It has a logbook, writing instruments and few items to trade.

There is considerable tree cover at the cache site, so GPS averages would only give me 15 to 25 feet of accuracy. Let me know how the coordinates work for you, and do use the hint to guide you the right way.

Start by visiting the viewpoint for the falls. There are two options to get to the cache, either drive or walk down to the marked picnic area and cross the neat suspended foot bridge below the falls, taking a right on the trail, or drive to the left of the viewpoint, down the hill behind the falls, and park at the marked trailhead. Total length of the loop is about 1/2 mile. The trail is slippery when wet! Use caution. Also, in the winter the campground is closed and the access road is gated off next to the county road, but you are still welcome to walk in.
