Park at N38.48.157 W086.04.995.
Follow trail #8 to within 30 feet of the cache. It is about a 3 mile hike round trip on an old logging road. It is 1.2 miles to the cache from the parking if you are crazy enough to bushwack through all the ravines and hills. Cache is an ammo can with log book, Team J&K geochip #11, The Friendly Persuasion (fiction book set in this area in the 1800's), Mardi Gras beads, cups, and coins, foreign coins, Colorado postcards and pencil, decorative plant stake and a houseplant water sensor. Please be sure to completely cover the cache since it is close to the trail. We have waited all winter to be able to hike this trail. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
7/11/05 We stopped by and checked this cache while doing the three new ones on this trail. We changed the coords slightly so it should be an easy find. Since Deermark has added his three new caches to this trail, we are hoping more people will try this one. It is a nice hike and, after the initial ascent which is long and fairly gradual, it is actually an fairly easy walk. Nice wide path (old logging road) along the ridges. Deermark's caches that can be done at the same time are Imaginary Castle, Get a Woody in the Woods, and Roosting on the Turkey Trail. Prairie Partners has added a cache to this area also - Jake's Roost.
