Located in a state forest near the site of a former WWII German POW camp. No traces remain. Level hike of about 1/4 mile. Close to a fire road.
Cache is in a clear one gallon container. Partly covered. Contains a short history of the area. Also some stamps. stickers, a fire truck, a keychain knife. some beads, charms, USA playing cards, paper mache box. Use caution for small sharp stumps in the road, they can trip you up.
Update:
A new copy of history was placed om 9/25/04.
The dogs still seem to be there. I havn't a clue as to why but it seems that someone is feeding them and there is a small shelter for them. They ran away as we approached.
