2 ways to get to cache site. Long hike,.38 mile, with nice parking in Kissee Mills Park. Take 1st Road left before the bridge off Hwy 160 just pass the town of Kissee Mills. park at N36 40.295 W 93 01.505====Shorter hike, but very rough road to parking at N36 40.073 N93 01.779, take 1st road before bridge on right. Only recommend this road for trucks, jeeps, or high profile vechicles & this bumpy dirt road is not recommened if muddy. Located in Taney County East of Forsyth.
Beaver creek, more like a small river, is part of the Upper Bull Shoals Lake & White River. Just ask any locals & they will tell you the best fishing is here on the creek. Check out Slew Hollar, you can't miss it, 1st road pass the bridge,for a good fishing spot. There proably isn't a bad fishing spot on Beaver Creek. This area is rich in largemouth, white bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish & must be some sucker fish as there are guys fishing from ladders at times. Bull Shoals Dam is the 5th largest concrete dam in America & Bull Shoals is one of the cleanest lakes in the United States with 1,000 miles of shorline.Go to ozarkanglers.com for fishing info.
The cache is in a brown plastic 2 litter cantainer with a white screw lid. Lots of goodies are stashed inside. Look for the cache a short distance pass a fallen oak tree that covers the trail. It is placed next to a large rock on the right just before the trail becomes more narrow. Be carefull as there is a long drop in one steep, but manageable section of the trail. Very steep at times, otherwise a nice flat hike. Happy Fishing...
