Geocache Description:

The Poplar Creek Foot Trail is located in the Manistee National Forest in Lake County.

The Poplar Creek Foot Trail is a trail that is primarily used by fisherman because it takes you to where the Poplar Creek joins the Pine River. It looks like it used to be a popular place to camp before the National Forest put up a gate. The trailhead is located at the end of forest road 5130. Follow the footpath and don't be tempted to bushwack your way to the cache from the trailhead. You might want to bring your lunch and enjoy this beautiful spot on the Pine River.

The cache is an ammo box and should be accessible year round. Please be sure the cache is covered well because fishermen are in the area during the spring and summer.
