They're waiting for you...
To be successful with this cache hunt, you will have to visit some
mailboxes on rural roads and record information en route to the
final cache. These mailbox sites were picked because they provide
pullouts and driveways nearby so you shouldn’t have to stop in the
middle of a road to get the necessary information.
You will need to record numerical addresses from the mailboxes
in order to arrive at the next waypoint. Each number on the mailbox
address corresponds to the first few letters of the alphabet, i.e.,
a mailbox with the number 1234 would be coded as ABCD. Use the
mailbox code with the coordinate information below to find the next
mailbox. You will understand how to get to the final cache after
you visit Mailbox #6.
The final cache is a standard ammo box containing a bundle of
cards for you to choose from. In keeping with the theme of the
cache, drop off a greeting card of some sort but feel free to
grab a card to your liking, even if you didn't bring one!!!
Coordinates should be within 20-30 feet, as there was a fair
amount of cloud cover the day I set this up.
You already know the waypoint to the first mailbox, so, using
the number from mailbox #1, here is the code to the next mailbox
(and so on):
Mailbox #2: 47° 42. ____ ____ ____ A, A+C, C+D,
117° 32. ____ ____ ____ A-D, B+D, A+B,
Mailbox #3: 47° 43. ____ ____ ____ A, A+B+C, D-C,
117° 32. ____ ____ ____ D-B, A+D, B-C
Mailbox #4: 47° 44. ____ ____ ____ B+D, A-B, D,
117° 33. ____ ____ ____ A-D, B+D, A-D+C
Mailbox #5: 47° 44. ____ ____ ____ D, A, A+C,
117° 34. ____ ____ ____ A+B+C, E, D
Mailbox #6: 47° 43. ____ ____ ____ E, C-E, A+D,
117° 34. ____ ____ ____ C+D, E-A, A+B
Have
Fun!
Note: You must do the entire cache hunt in order to log it!
