Geocache Description:

Cache is located on Ole Buck Mountain. Park at N51 02.857 W114 51.956 and take the Forestry Exhibit Trail until you get to the bridge to cross Bateman Creek, and then get on Ole Buck Loop. Alternative starting point is the Sibbald Viewpoint day use area on Highway 68. Approx. 140 m elevation gain, 4 km return. If the campground is open, leave from near site #96. For more info, see the hiking guide Short Walks for Inquiring Minds.

Original cache has been found and is located in a pile of rocks at N51 03.255 W114 51.182. "Replacement" cache is at the above posted coordinates. So, for now, there are 2 cache containers - double your fun. Please log a find if you find either or both caches.

The origin of the name "Ole Buck" is unknown, the name appeared on early maps, and the mountain was officially named on December 12, 1939. The Stoney call this mountain Chapta Baha Taga - Big Pine Hill.

This is a short strenuous hike onto a spur of Ole Buck Mountain. Cache is located near the high point of the loop.

The cache is a small Lock n Lock with the usual stuff including a logbook. It's well hidden under a couple of flat rocks beside a stump.

****Please, Please rehide container well.****
