Broby Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Leemax: I have been told that this cache must be moved as it on an ancient grave.
How exactly one is able to identify what is an ancient grave and what is not is not explained in the message.
Therefore, I now close this cache which in itself is an ancient monument as it has been active since 2003, in other words it is one of the oldest in Sweden!

Geocache Description:

At Broby, a few kilometres west of Uppsala, you will find the site of an Iron Age settlement.
There are many graves here and even the foundations of a house, dated 500 BC. Take your time and wander round the area because it is also a beautiful example of Uppland landscape with grassy mounds, pine trees, juniper bushes and in the springtime you will find Hepatica (Sw: blåsippor), wood anemones (vitsippor) and Pasque flowers (backsippor).

Park your car or bike at the red shed, N 59° 53,657 - E 17° 32,446.
Then walk to the sign which is at N 59° 53,650 - E 17° 32,372
Read the sign carefully and find out how many graves there are which gives you the number abc

The cache is at N 59° 53,(5*abc)+19 and E 17° 32,(abc+49)

The cache comprises a small Tupperware type box which contains (from the beginning):

  • GC logbook and letter
  • Parrot (McD)
  • Small padlock
  • Panda
  • Eraser
  • Carabiner
  • British penny
