Nitpicker: This cache has apparently been stolen for the ammo box that it was hidden in. sorry for the loss of the log because I have always enjoyed seeing the people that have visited the site. It was a beautiful spot out here in West Texas. Sorry for those of you that could not find it.

From the town of Fort Davis take 17 South toward Marfa turn and follow loop 166 north to the Point of Rocks rest area. Please be carefull there is high grass and lots of critters live in the area. Always use something to move rocks and clutter around other then your hand, take a stick or find one.
This rest area is dedicated in memory of three stage drivers who traveled this route. This was part of the San Antonio to El Paso stage route. There was a spring at the site years ago and they watered their teams there. Without these fearless heroes and their courage the West would have never been won. Take time to read the historical marker. Hope you enjoy this cache.
