This cache has been archived.

The Big Kid: It has been a good run of years for this cache, it started when geocaching was new, and it was finally the upgrading of the park that led to its demise.

Geocache Description:

In a nice park on Grand Lake. I needed a cache to make a drop point for "Crabby Claude" a travel bug who really likes water, and couldn't fit him into the other cache on this lake. The cache container is a starfrite lock-n-lock. The chosen container of hundreds of west coast caches.

Go to the above position.

There is a monument there that will help explain who this park is dedicated to. Four names are listed with the dates they came into, and departed from, this world. Write these numbers down. You will have eight 4 digit numbers. Add all the birth dates together(4 of them), and write this number down. Then write down the lat/long of the position at the top of this page, then, add the 4 dates of departure together and write this number down at then end of all this. This should give you a 23 digit number. Disregard the decimal point, just keep the numbers rolling.

To get to the next waypoint, put the alphabet under this number, do not use "I" and "O". This should give each letter of the alphabet a number above it. Hint- Y should be the last letter used.

The next waypoint is:
EF GQ.MLY
KRT TN.PSP
insert the north and west knowingly.

This position will take close to the shoreline, but a little on the wet side. From this position proceed on "SBR" degrees TRUE for "PM" yards. There will be a double trunked tree there. Inside the hollow crotch, there is a small canister with the instructions for the final waypoint.

The final cache is under some small rocks. .

Good Luck.
