Bring the kids; it's a great neighborhood location with a play area nearby. Easy access, too. About 1/2 mile of walking.
This is a three part cache on a one of the city trails. After you find the Five (now 4) Frolicking Friends using the cache coordinates above, take the trail south to the street where you will see a No Parking sign. On the back of the sign is a white sticker with numbers (10 digits) on the right side of the sticker. Use those numbers to find the second part of the cache, “Buzzard’s Gulch.” The location of the buzzard & friends is at these coordinates:
41.16.ABA where A is the 8th number on the white sticker, B is the 1st number and A is the 8th number again.
96.09.DAC where D is the 9th number on the white sticker, A is the 8th number, and C is the 7th number.
“Buzzard’s Gulch” is an interesting sight in the back yard of a home there. Optional if you like: email the cache owner with (a) the words on the inscription at the base of one of the Five Frolicking Friends, and (b) the 4-digit number on the large utility cover to the left of the buzzard at Buzzard’s Gulch.
Now to find the actual cache container, a camo'd pint jar, subtract .001 from the "Buzzard's Gulch" north coordinate, and subtract .133 from the west coordinate. You will end up with 41.16.xxx and 096.09.xxx. Cache contains a log and 2 small pencils.
