Best place to start with the cache is in the NYS DEC Parking lot just past the Ski Lift when you turn onto Ski Bowl Road from Route 28. Then hike up the top of the hill to where the ski lift ends along the NYS DEC Trail. The cache is in a Dark Green Ammo Can.
This Cache is dedicated to the yearly White Water Derby Weekends. Many of us have been coming up here for this canoe/major party event for over 20 years which is held the first full weekend in May. One of my favorite past times has been looking for the beautiful clear ruby red garnets found up here. I've included a bunch of these in this cache so take 2 or 3 of them and go looking in the area streams. I have found many small gem quality garnets around in the area. Email me for info about finding the garnets, or stop by the gem/mineral shop down the road on Rt28 to learn more about the garnets found here. I put into this cache a kids PDA, magnifying lens, colorful ball, marbles, childs purse, maze game, a 2003 White Water Derby Pin and the TB Commerce-TV.
