I first discovered this gorge in 1993 when I canoed this section with a group of canoeists and kayakers. Some of our kayakers even paddled over the waterfall which is not too far from the mouth.
To find this cache park at Park at N 39 53.038 W 76 23.079
along Rt 425 near the yellow gate. From this gate, take the red blazed trail starting at a bearing of about 335 degrees. There is no charge to park here but space is limited. This option will make a round trip hike of about 0.4 miles.
Be prepared to get your feet wet since you must ford across Otter Creek. Also, I suggest bringing a flashlight.
