This cache was placed in our Hwy. 44 series and will take you to one of the most spectacular views of Mt. Hood from the east side so don’t forget your camera.
With a desire to create a caching loop from The Dalles or Hood River, our preference is to approach from the east as it provides many more opportunities for the wonderful mountain views. The roads are good and a 4WD is not necessary except for perhaps the winter season, although some dirt or gravel forest service roads will be encountered.
There are many hiking/mountain biking trails in this national forest area as well as some beautiful campgrounds and streams, so if you want to spend some time, bring appropriate gear and provisions.
The best parking coordinates are at N45 23.474 W121 32.455
