I have renamed this
cache Fading Glass Beach because the best glass beach glass
right now appears to be in the cove on the way to the recently
renamed Glass Beach cache.
BootieBuddies have provided a link to this Very Cool Video of
the cleanup project. Cache page editor is not allowing a link at
this time. I will fix this problem soon.

From your parking place head toward the big rock you see to the
northwest. Nice feature to sit on and enjoy the view.

No need to cross-country but have at it if you want. Keep on the
trails for easiest access.
To see the famous beach, go to the lateral bluff top trail and
go southish to the nearby point. From there you can take the
service road back to the parking area. Have fun and enjoy the glass
beach sand while it lasts.
WARNINGS: Be careful if you go to the tide pools. The edges of
the bluffs are almost always undercut and can give way toppling you
onto the rocks below. Down on the tide pool level the rocks are
always wet and very slippery. A normal tide pool condition. You do
have to be on the lookout for rouge waves that are known to wash
people off the rocks. This is not an idle comment. Each year along
the Mendocino coastline people die from these two conditions. Also,
ticks may be present at various times of the year. Check your
clothing as you walk along and when you get back to your car.
