Geocache Description:

Edmonton, Alberta's First Webcam Cache!
(And sadly due to new rules, the only remaining one!)

UPDATE June 24, 2017: Due to restructuring at the UofA the WebCam will be being decommissioned on July 14th, 2017. Thanks for hosting the camera, and to all that came out to visit the cache over all these years. You will have until then to visit this unique Edmonton cache.

This video image comes from a Webcam located someplace on the University of Alberta Campus.

NOTE: There is enough information provided in the description and homepage to help you find the webcam. The posted co-ordinates are bogus and will NOT plop you right in front of the lens. You will still have to figure out where the camera is (based on current view). This cache should be done with a cell phone and a good friend on a computer at the other end of the line.

Additional Notes:

If possible, hold up a sign or banner with your geocaching name in front of you, or else hold up a couple of balloons, or something to CLEARLY identify yourself (in your log entry) as a GeoCacher (and not just as a passerby) would help! YOU MUST BE LOOKING DIRECTLY UP TOWARDS THE CAMERA! If you CANNOT bring a sign (or feel silly in doing so) then perhaps lean up against one of the trees with one hand CLEARLY on it, while holding your GPS up in the other.

If you want (as others have done) send us a photo of either the webcam, and yourself or caching party clearly holding up the GPS at the location (and send an accurate waypoint). BTW, we are still waiting for someone to take an image in a Super Man costume.

PS - Thanks to DaddyGeek for maintaining the camera, and Rob Lake for initial placement.
