Geocache Description:

The coords listed above are the starting point for the adventure. When you get to the final location there is something that should be a neat surprise, it was for us. This cache does not involve bushwacking keep this in mind when you are ready to begin your hike. If you have to hike more than 1/2 mile to the cache you should reconsider your position. For the adventurers who want to figure their own route to the cache read the spoiler. This cache was placed with Pennsylvania DCNR permission.

Okay, lets begin the fun. Go to the coords listed above. Marion Brooks sure appreciated nature. How old was she when she passed away? Figure it out and remember it. It would be a good idea to remember how many acres of white birch there are too.
You will now be heading to the next location. The coords are:
41deg $$.346N
78deg $$.420W
Oh my, that just isn't going to work is it? Maybe you need to take Marions age and subtract (47) to get the $$ in the Latitude and if you subtract (49) from her age you will have the $$ for the longitude. Okay, lets head for this location now.
So you made it. That looks like a nice road there why not turn right here and go down that road, but how far do you go. Now how many acres of white birch were there? I hope you remember because you will have to add the three numbers of the acreage together and when you get that total scratch out the first number to the left and the remaining number will be how many miles you will travel before you once again turn right. Lets just say there were 267 acres (which there wasn't) Add 2+6+7=15 and remove the 1 and you would go 5 miles, but that was just an example. Now use the right acreage, do the math and head down that road. But don't leave until you look at the square white highway sign at the intersection of the Quehanna Hwy and the road you will now be driving down. Remember the bottom two digits (you will not need the SR2006 numbers only the bottom two digits.)
So lets get going and turn right when you have traveled down the road to the miles you had figured out and then turn right again. Don't overREACT when you see the name of the road you will be turning onto. You aren't LOST yet.
Now you are on the road that will take you within hiking distance of the cache. Only the road implies that you are lost. So lets head to the cache, but you will need coordinates. Here they are:
N41deg $$.395
W78deg $$.933
To get the latitude, subtract 39 from the last two digits that were on that Hwy sign and you will have the $$ (Minutes)
To get the longitude, subtract 37 from the last two digits that were on that Hwy sign and you will have the $$ (Minutes)
Okay you should be able to follow your GPS to the cache now, so let's get going. The cache is in an ammo box.
Please be alert and use caution when caching. Don't let a snakebite or tickbite ruin your fun. Just watch where you are reaching into. Remember what we said about the hiking distance and the bushwacking. One last thing, don't mention the surprise when you log your find. Have fun!!
We have placed a travel bug in this cache. His name is Backpack Jack. He wants to make his way out to the Rockies and then head back home towards where he started his journey.
By the way, when you get to the final location, if you notice a strange gentle breeze and feel like you're being watched and the old hair is standing up on the back of your neck, don't panic it's just the "Ghost of Wildcat Rock"
I want to remind people to watch out for rattle snakes. Although this is not a rattlesnake den area they are obviously in the area. See George1 log and picture. Just watch where you are going and make lots of noise, use common sense when reaching into places and you will be fine. The cache doesn't require that you reach into a hole or back in a crack.
