Geocache Description:

A very scenic walk over open farmland, and the coastal forest of Whitecliffs Conservation Area. Start at the end of Pukearuhe Road, North of Urenui on SH 3, North of New Plymouth.

The walk is up and over farmland that forms part of the Whitecliff walkway. The cache is in an obvious location, and is guarded by gorse. Apart from the cache you should be rewarded with good views of the North Taranaki coastline. The trip should take 1 hour if you choose to return via the stream please check the tides and allow 1 1/2 hours to return.

Warning: the beach between the Waipingau Stream and Pukearuhe is accessible only at low tide.

Note: The walkway is closed from 1 July to 30 September due to lambing on the private farmland
