While you are on your way up to Priest Lake to do some caching why not stop off and see what was once said to be the worlds largest Tamarack. As you are driving north go a short ways past the coords and take the first road to the left. A short drive later you will see some marking flags at a trailhead. It's just about 50 yards or so to the big boy, and a little past that to the cache. Watch for some barbed wire a little past the tree. The cache shouldn't be too hard to find, but the tree coverage is pretty dense. At one time this was said to be the worlds largest, but several years ago it was struck by lightning, so it is a lot shorter now. It is still an impressive sight, and worth the short trip off the main road.
