A Bridge Too Far? Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

HighCountryAdmin: I am archiving this defunct geocache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair or replace the cache sometime in the future, please contact me via my profile, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, I will be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Art in public places often goes unseen at the scene. This cache visits local sites. Come see tax dollars at work along the bike path doing this multistage cache.

This is a multistage cache with a total distance of about 5 miles. While it could be biked, the less hardy may want to consider other transportation, because it might be a bit too far. The first set of coordinates will take you to a parking location which is Stage 1.

To reach stage 2 subtract 36 from the N coord and add three times that number to the W coord of the first stage.

Locate the southside bath and the left and right plaques with 4 digit years. Add the four years. To determine the stage 3, N coords., subtract 6159 from the years total and then add the result to the stage 2 N coords. To determine the stage 3, W coords., subtract 3323 from the years total and then subtract the result from the stage 2 W coords.

Go to stage 3 and find the one guardrail wooden post with something extra with the “seconds” coordinates to stage 4.

At stage 4 locate the penny magnet and add the 3 digit numbers to the N & W coords, (use only the last 3 digits of the result, then subtact one minute from your new W coord for the final cache coords. Good luck. Take a picture of yourself…if you find the cache. Of course it is essential to replace all clue items in the original location. Be discrete at all public locations. (Discrete may mean looking like you are tying the shoelaces on your loafers.)
