Camosun
Bog.
Easy walk, in an enviromentally sensitive
area. I would say it is wheelchair accessible. I have converted
this to a virtual cache as too many people were leaving the
boardwalk. Please stay on the boardwalk the area is enviromentally
sensitive.
The cache has been removed. However, I would highly
recommend a visit to this unique area.
Original contents; First Finder certification card, compass,
Carabiner, Log Book, Captain No Beard Lucky Dubloon #8, Stashnote,
two Keno Pencils.
Please obey the well posted rules. 1. Stay on the board walk
(You don't need to leave it to reach the cache). 2. Dogs must be
leashed.
"Camosun Bog is a unique feature of Pacific Spirit Park, and of
the Vancouver landscape. The bog has attracted worldwide attention
through the efforts of well-known naturalist, David Bellamy, who
led a tour through the bog in 1996. Today, a small, dedicated band
of volunteers works to develop a sustainable bog ecosystem that has
been threatened by human interference in the past." Quoted from:

There are work parties here every Saturday morning between 9AM -
noon. At 10AM they run an orientation for new volunteers. Expect
people in the area.
