The Creekside Cache Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

trippy1976: I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a while now and it looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time, - the last find was 11/20/04

As stated in the cache listing guidelines available at http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#maint
You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to hunt for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable time - normally a few weeks - in which to arrange a visit to your cache. In the event that a cache is not being properly maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an extended period of time, we may archive or transfer the listing.

While Geocaching.com would like to continue to hold the location for you, doing so blocks other cachers from placing caches in the area. We feel that this cache has been disabled for a period of time exceeding what is reasonable for the area, and thus I regretfully must archive it.

If you are able to get out and replace the cache, simply drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. I will be more than happy to take a look at it to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

Archived Cache Rescue Mission: When a Geocache is archived in Michigan, MiGO (Michigan Geocaching Organization) makes a commitment to tracking those archived caches where the proper removal of the cache container cannot be confirmed through log entries or by other means.

If the information is inconclusive as to the fate of the geocache, it will be listed on the MiGO Archived Cache Rescue Mission list to ensure that it is on our radar screen and eventually a MiGO member will visit the site and verify that it is gone. Having your cache on this list is not a derogatory comment about anyone's ability to maintain their caches. It is simply a list that is maintained to ensure that no geocaches in Michigan become geotrash.

MiGO members will go out to cache sites and verify that the containers have been removed or they will collect them if still present and recycle them. This ensures that no Geocache in Michigan ever becomes litter.

If you are the owner and can confirm the cache was removed, or have it listed on a different service and wish for it to be removed from the rescue list please email me via my profile with the GC# or name and I will remove it from the list.

Geocache Description:

Cache temporarily unavailable, (needs repair). Back soon...

This is a multi stage cache. The fourth stage is the cache. The container for the cache is a standard size ammo can. The total walking distance should be roughly 1-1.5" miles. The stages are well hidden.

The posted coordinates are for parking.

This cache is located in Creekside Park just east of Eastern and 68th Street. While many area people are familiar with it, this is another park that is easily missed. The entrance doesn’t stand out and little else of the park can be seen while driving by. (At least for now. The South Beltline is eventually going to go right past the back of the park.)

The park has many nice features for its size. There are two ball diamonds, a soccer field, a couple of playgrounds, a pavilion, trails and plenty of open space. This might be a good place to spend a couple hours on a sunny day and grill a dog or two. ;o)

The park can have very few people, or a lot depending on the time of day, or day of the week. Some of the trails have a lot of use. Please use discretion when searching and hide things well when you leave.

To begin, find the "year" the park was dedicated to its designer "Craig M. Buckley".

The

FIRST stage is at:

N42 50.ABC W85 38.XYZ

2527 - year = ABC
2212 - year = XYZ

Hint: While it isn't necessary or required, some people might find a cell phone helpful.

Good Hunting!
