jessex: This was one of our first caches and has survived for over two years. But the location has become too wild to get to. The brambles and nettles are too dangerous. We will place a new cache in the area soon.

Geocache Description:

We noticed there are no caches in this area, so we decided to put one or two here. Havering Country Park is part of the old grounds of the medieval Havering Palace. The Palace was built here, it was said, for the splendid views of Essex and London. The Palace is long gone but the views remain, as do the magnificent Wellington Evergreens.

Park at St. John the Evangelist Church in the village of Havering-Atte-Bower and you will then have a ten minute walk to the cache. Its an easy access trail but wellies may be useful on wet days, watch out for the horses!



We have changed the difficulty level to reflect the lack of GPSr reception because of heavy tree cover.

The cache is a white lidded, clear tupperware container.

Ceramic frog
Green Landrover toy car
