The third of a series of caches placed on abandoned railroad right-of-ways in Michiana.
Trails along deserted rail beds are becoming valuable recreation resources. The Van Buren trail that this cache is placed on is in its early development stages, but the 14 miles it traverses from Hartford to South Haven gives many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. This was once a section of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad, and is now a linear state park for the state of Michigan.
This cache was the original container for '5th Year Dorm' cache near Kalamazoo, a 9x9x3 square Tupperware container. The owners of that cache (iceman857 and frontiersman) replaced it when it 'came up missing'. It resurfaced, and they asked someone to rehide the old container as a new cache. This is that rehide. When We placed this cache it contained----A digital clock keychain, safety matches, magnifying keychain, plexiglass trivet, twiddle bug, clip-it coupon clipper, a roll of pennies, and we added a toy Hummer.
